The Management Board

Prior to the establishing the Triodos Bank NV branch in Spain, and based on a personal compromise to develop transparency and investments in sectors directed to promote a positive and sustainable change in society, Mr. Barroso founded in 1988 the company Proyecto Trust, S.A.. Trust was a consulting company specialized in advising companies, initiatives and projects in the environmental, social and cultural sectors. The activity developed by Proyecto Trust lead to a strategic agreement to identify and channel Triodos investments in Spain. This agreement evolved into the formal establishment of a Triodos branch in Spain, which formally opened its doors in September 2004. His more than 20 years of experience in the financial sector allowed him to hold positions in Barclays Bank and Sistema 4B S.A.

Sociologist, Director of Fundación Ecología y Desarrollo (ECODES) since 1995. He is a member of Inditex’s Board Advisory Committee; he also participates in the EXPO 2008 Management Committee, and in the Corporate Social Responsibility Experts Forum of the Spanish Ministry of Employment and Social Affairs. Mr. Viñuales has participated in various relevant professional activities, such as: Chief Officer of the Youth Service of the Ayuntamiento de Zaragoza; Expert-Coordinator of the Spanish Agency of International Cooperation, which belongs to the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Project Evaluator for the Development Cooperation project at the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the EU, and Fundación La Caixa. He is the founder of the “En Pie de Paz” Magazine

Prior to joining AIS, Mr. Bendito was Managing Director of Innovest in Spain, where he successfully negotiated and launched with BBVA the first Spanish SRI actively managed fund. His more than 15 years experience in corporate finance, company restructuring, and private sector development, allowed him to hold positions internationally, among others: he was Country Manager for Spain, Portugal and Romania in the Council of Europe Development Bank, a Paris-based Multilateral Development Bank aimed at financing social and environmental projects in Europe, where he managed an investment project portfolio of EUR 1.85 Billion; he was Associate Director of the Project Finance and Privatisation practice with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Spain; the European Commission in Brussels as task manager in charge of the Commission programme for private sector development; the United Nations Development Programme, where he was in charge of the private sector programme for several Central and Eastern European Countries. His professional experience focused on providing advisory services to governments, sell and buy side investors in the privatisation or restructuring of public sector groups. Mr. Bendito holds a degree in economics from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid with a major in Development Economics, and a Diploma on International Trade from the Madrid Chamber of Industry and Commerce. |

The consultancy committee acts as an independent organism and it is made up of independent consultants with a technical background. Its mission is to provide AIS’ research with its knowledge on a methodological and technical development. Such input is translated into a final rating awarded to analyzed companies, as well as other consultancy and training services provided by AIS.
The consultancy committee is run by an ECODES’ representative.

Makeateam is a consultancy company specialized in corporate management, organization and coaching. This company is integrated within Inmark Group (he is also member of this Group), which specializes in the areas of corporate human resources management and training. The Inmark Group has more than 150 consultants and almost 400 clients in Spain and Latin America, specifically in the financial and insurance sectors.
Since 1998, Mr. Eguiguren is a member of Proyecto Trust, S.L Board. This company was the origin of Triodos Bank, N.V, branch in Spain. Since 2001 Mr Eguiguren is a member of the risk committee of Triodos Bank, N.V, branch in Spain.
Mr. Eguiguren has also been founder member of B-Lab, a think tank, which is sponsored by several private companies and universities. B-Lab analyses the entrepreneurial phenomena within the Spanish society and the role of universities in promoting an entrepreneurial culture. through B-Lab, Fundación CyD (Science and Development) was created.
Previously to those responsibilities, Mr. Eguiguren was in charge of Corporate Banking in Barclays Bank and of Corporate Organization in Banco Bilbao (currently known as BBVA). He was also a Manager Consultant for Consultores Españoles, S.A and Senior Consultant in Strategic Management Group, Inc. –Philadelphia USA.
On the ground of education, Mr. Eguiguren has been a professor of financial and organizational subjects at several institutions: Les Heures – Universitat de Barcelona (MBA program), Idec – Universitat Pompeu Fabra ( International MBA program), Escola Superior de Comerç Internacional – Universitat Pompeu Fabra (International trade degree). Currently, he is a professor in the Department of Businesses Organization at Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya.
Mr. Eguiguren holds several post-graduate diplomas in business management and planning, including Corporate Management and PLaning (Planificación y Administración de Empresas) from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (1984), and Corporate IT Management Tools (Informática y Gestión de Empresas) from Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña (1985). He got his Doctorate in Business Administration from Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña (2000) with a thesis on economic management systems applied to intangibles.

Technical Consultant: Mr. Félix Quintana Ortega, Renta 4 Aragón CEO

Economist, Mr. Quintana holds a degree in Business Management and Planning from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. He has been a professor at Zaragoza Business School. He was a member of the financial advisory service for Caja de Ahorros de la Inmaculada since its foundation until 1987. Mr. Quintana has collaborated in various postgraduate and doctorate programs at some universities and educational institutions in Spain. Currently, he is the CEO of Renta 4 Aragón, and the main representative of Renta 4 Gestora (Sociedad Gestora de Instituciones de Inversión Colectiva), a fund management firm.

Technical Consultant: Mr. José Manuel Farto, General Secretary of SEA (Association of Businessmen from Alava, Spain)

Mr. Farto holds a Bachelor degree in Economic Sciences by Universidad de Sarriko. Between 1982 and 1984 he was a consultor in regional economy at IPES-GI. Between 1984 and 1986, he was a Professor in History and Economy at U-III. Between 1986 and 2001 he was Director in Economics and Employment Development and Chief Executive in Strategic Planning at Ayuntamiento de Vitoria-Gasteiz. Between September 2000 and March 2001, Mr. Farto worked in the Spanish expansion of SRI banking through the Trust project. Since 2001 until present he has been the General Secretary for SEA, an association of Businessmen in the Province of Alava, Spain. Through this activity, he has specialized in human capital, employee relations, industry politics, technology, etc.
